Josanne van Bennekom heeft zich dankzij 3 sterke kwalificatie duels weten te plaatsen voor het $10.000 ITF toernooi in het Spaanse Vinoras.

De 21-jarige Apeldoornse was in de 3e en beslissende kwalificatieronde met 6-4, 7-5 te sterk voor Sofia Kvatsabaia (Geo, 690). Nicolette van Uitert kon zich niet opnieuw plaatsen voor een ITF toernooi, ze verloor in de 3e ronde met 3-6, 1-6 van Gracia Radovanovic (Fra, 750)

Van Bennekom treft in de openingsronde van het hoofdtoernooi de 18-jarige Amanda Carreras (GB, 550). De Britse heeft dit jaar al 3 maal in een finale gestaan van een $10.000 ITF toernooi, ze wist er overigens geen één winnend af te sluiten.
