WTA - Het is de drie Nederlandse speelsters die deelnemen aan een Future in Lenzerheide stuk voor stuk gelukt de tweede ronde te bereiken. In Zwitserland was vooral Marlot Meddens op dreef. Ze leverde maar vijf games in.
Meddens veegde de vloer aan met Marina Novak uit Liechtenstein (6-3, 6-2) en staat in de tweede ronde tegenover de als zesde geplaatste Alice Moroni uit Itali

Topseed Michelle Gerards deed wat van haar verwacht werd in Zwitserland. Ze schakelde haar tegenstander Klaudia Malenkovska uit Slowakije overtuigend uit: 6-2, 7-5. In de tweede ronde wacht een wedstrijd tegen Julia Babilon uit Duitsland voor Gerards.

De zege van Josanne van Bennekom kwam maar moeizaam tot stand. Van Bennekom, die zich via de kwalificaties in het hoofdschema knokte, rekende in drie sets af met Sally Peers uit Australi
